Mike Portnoy s'est fait virer d'A7X Shocked

"Yes, the rumours are true... sadly my time with Avenged Sevenfold has come to an end. The band has decided to carry on into 2011 without me... I had a great time with them throughout 2010, but it was their choice to end the relationship at the end of 2010 as was always the initial plan.

I had an awesome time on stage with the guys every night and have so many cool memories from the experience with them... I am proud to always be part of the A7X family and history.

I also adore the A7X fans and totally appreciate the way they welcomed me aboard and were so loving and supportive during my time with the band... thank you!

As far as my future, I am excited by the endless musical possibilities that lie ahead of me... my love for music runs very deep and my taste is very broad and ecclectic which will give me the chance to explore many different things and collaborate with many great friends and artists I admire and respect...

En ce qui concerne DT, ca je le sais très bien qu'il ne retournera pas dans le groupe, mais heureux qu'il ne joue plus avec Avenged.

Very good, we are all bigger and mature and you do not fall into the problems we faced 10 or 15 years. This is different and we project a lot: we are working on a new album due out next year, perhaps for the northern hemisphere summer.

Je suis un grand fan mais j'ai été très déçu des deux concerts que j'ai vus au Rock Am Ring.
De la Rocha est loin d'avoir l'énergie d'antan et le son était archi mauvais alors qu'il avait été bon toute la journée ... bizarre

Son style de jeu, peu commun, était basé sur l'utilisation d'une triple grosse caisse. Il était reconnu pour ses breaks extrêmement rapide. Reconnu par ses pairs comme l'un des meilleurs batteurs de sa génération, The Rev était un musicien complet, puisqu'il jouait également du piano et de la guitare. Il assurait également les backing vocals en voix claire, aussi bien en studio que lors des concerts.
Je suis entièrement d'accord avec cette analyse et de plus le style Portnoy, j'aime pas trop, même si c'est un batteur de très grande valeur

Dans Avenged Sevenfold alors...mais faut préciser!

Portnoy est moins bon que "rev" dans A7X mais globalement, Portnoy est un des meilleurs batteurs au monde...du moins le + complet Very Happy
